Question:

A question unrelated to the eclipse, the questioner says: Eminent Shaykh, you know what our blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque has been subjected to in terms of blatant and sinful aggression by the Jews, and you know the horrific crimes our brothers in Palestine have faced as they defend the first of the two Qiblahs (directions of prayer). What is your guidance for those who are deluded into thinking that these Jews have detached themselves from their beliefs and deep-seated hatred?

Answer:

Yes. I say: It is no surprise that such actions come from the brothers of apes and pigs; because the Jews are treacherous.

When Allah Almighty saved them and they passed by a people who worshipped idols, “They [the Children of Israel] said, ‘O Moses, make for us a god just as they have gods.’“ (Al-A’raf: 138)

And when Moses went to the appointed time of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, and was delayed from them, they fashioned from their jewelry a statue of a calf which had a lowing sound, and “They said: ‘This is your ilâh (god), and the ilâh (god) of Mûsâ (Moses), but he [Mûsâ (Moses)] has forgotten (his god).’“ (Ta Ha: 88)

Their actions are many. Whoever wishes to look into them further should refer to the book: ‘Ighathat al-Lahfan min Masa’id al-Shaytan’ by Ibn al-Qayyim, may Allah have mercy on him. He mentioned astounding things about them and described them as the “wrath-incurring nation,” based on the saying of Allah Almighty: “Say, ‘Shall I inform you of [what is] worse than that as retribution from Allah? [It is that of] those whom Allah has cursed and with whom He became angry and made of them apes and pigs and slaves of Taghut (false deities).’“ (Al-Ma’idah: 60)

These are the characteristics of the Jews; it is no surprise that they break treaties and betray. They even betrayed the one most faithful to covenants, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When he arrived in Medina, there were three tribes of Jews in it: Banu Qaynuqa’, Banu al-Nadir, and Banu Qurayzah. He made a treaty with them, but they broke the covenant.

However, praise be to Allah, their breaking of the covenant was the reason for their expulsion from the pure land—purified of them and their likes.

So do not be surprised that such things happen from them, especially since the government now has come to be on the side of the extremists and radicals among them.
