Who Are The Salaf

The Righteous Salaf are the Sahabah (Companions of the Prophet ﷺ) and those who followed their path among the Tabi’un (Successors), and the Atba’ al-Tabi’un (Successors of the Successors). They are the favored generations praised by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and Allah said regarding them: “And the first to embrace Islam of the Muhajirun (those who migrated from Makkah to Al-Madinah) and the Ansar (the citizens of Al-Madinah who helped and gave aid to the Muhajirun) and also those who followed them exactly (in Faith). Allah is well-pleased with them as they are well-pleased with Him.”
