You must seek the one who is religiously-committed. You must seek the righteous woman known for good morals, for maintaining prayer, chastity, good character, good speech, and also a good appearance.

This is due to the saying of the Prophet ﷺ: “A woman is married for four things: her wealth, her lineage, her beauty and her religious commitment. Seek the one who is religiously-committed, may your hands be rubbed with dust [i.e., may you prosper].”

He advised seeking the one who is religiously-committed, so we advise you with what the Prophet ﷺ advised: the one who is religiously-committed.

We advise you to seek a woman known for uprightness, performing the prayer at its proper time, preserving her chastity from what Allah has forbidden, possessing a good tongue, good speech, noble manners, and good character. If beauty, good lineage, and wealth happen to come along with this, then it is good upon good. However, the important thing is that her manners are noble, she is observant of the religion, steadfast in her prayer, possesses good character, and stays far away from the immoralities that Allah has forbidden.
