Regarding the Torah and the Gospel, did the tahrif (distortion) occur in their wordings and their meanings, or was the distortion in some of it merely a distortion of meaning?!

It is comprehensive; their distortion is comprehensive—distortion of the wording and distortion of the meaning. Rather, they inserted into them what does not belong to them, such as detracting from Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, and attributing a son to Him. They inserted into the Torah and the Gospel what is not from them, and whatever remained of them, they distorted either in wording or in meaning.
