Anyone who reflects upon history across its long course, and contemplates the conditions, manners, and dealings of nations, will find that the nation with the worst morals and the most evil conduct is the nation of the Jews—that wrath-incurring, cursed nation. A nation of falsehood, tyranny, debauchery, disobedience, disbelief, and atheism; a nation abhorred by people due to the harshness of their hearts, the severity of their hatred and envy, and the greatness of their transgression and tyranny.
They possess a brutal and savage nature in which none rivals them. Whenever they sense strength, influence, control, or power, they attack those they oppose like a wild beast attacking its prey, observing toward none any pact or treaty, nor honoring any covenant or pledge. No nation among all nations is known to have harder hearts or harsher minds than this nation. Criminality, injustice, aggression, tyranny, and slander have been attached to them since ancient times.
Allah Almighty says:
“So because of their breach of their covenant, We cursed them, and made their hearts grow hard.” [Al-Ma’idah: 13]
And Allah Almighty says:
“Then, after that, your hearts were hardened and became as stones or even worse in hardness.” [Al-Baqarah: 74]
Among the manifestations of their hardheartedness is that they killed some of the Prophets of Allah who came to bring them guidance, righteousness, happiness, and success. Allah Almighty says:
“Verily, We took the covenant of the Children of Israel and sent them Messengers. Whenever there came to them a Messenger with what they themselves desired not - a group of them they called liars, and others among them they killed.” [Al-Ma’idah: 70]
And Almighty says:
“Because of their breaking the covenant, and of their rejecting the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah, and of their killing the Prophets unjustly, and of their saying: “Our hearts are wrapped (with coverings, i.e. we do not understand what the Messengers say)” - nay, Allah has set a seal upon their hearts because of their disbelief, so they believe not but a little.” [An-Nisa: 155]
And Almighty says:
“Verily! Those who disbelieve in the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah and kill the Prophets without right, and kill those men who order just dealings, announce to them a painful torment.” [Aal-Imran: 21]
This harshness with which Allah characterized them in the Quran remains attached to them throughout the ages and across time, down to our present day.
Deceit, Treachery, and Moral Decay
Furthermore, they (the Jews) are a people of plot, deceit, malice, and cunning. The early Muslims suffered greatly from these traits of the Jews, and Muslims continue to suffer woes as a result of their plotting and schemes. Yet Allah says:
“If a good befalls you, it grieves them, but if some evil overtakes you, they rejoice at it. But if you remain patient and become Al-Muttaqun (the pious - see V. 2:2), not the least harm will their cunning do to you. Surely, Allah surrounds all that they do.” [Aal-Imran: 120]
The Jews have habitually engaged in treachery, betrayal, and the breaking of covenants and promises since ancient times. Allah Almighty says:
“Verily, The worst of moving (living) creatures before Allah are those who disbelieve, - so they shall not believe. They are those with whom you made a covenant, but they break their covenant every time and they do not fear Allah.” [Al-Anfal: 55-56]
Throughout history, they have lived as a center of corruption in societies and the foundation of every evil and indecency—spreading vice and circulating corruption. Across history, they have been a source of vice and immoral conduct; they are the owners of brothels in the world and the propagators of sexual degradation everywhere. They extort the wealth of nations and then harness it to spread vice among them, thereby breaking their values, undermining their faith, and weakening their strength so that they become easy prey. What despicable plotting!
The Enmity Between Truth and Falsehood
The enmity of the Jews toward Islam is an ancient enmity dating back to the first dawn of Islam. Their animosity and hatred toward its people are well known to both the common and elite, in ancient times and modern. This is because Islam exposed their state, uncovered their reality, unveiled their ignominies, and laid bare their ugly atrocities. Thus, their affairs became public instead of secret, and apparent to everyone after being hidden.
Verses of the Noble Quran descended one after another, stripping away their cover, clarifying the reality of their condition, and exposing all their plot, cunning, and deception. Allah spoke the truth when He said:
“And thus do We explain the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) in detail, that the way of the Mujrimun (criminals, polytheists, sinners), may become manifest.” [Al-An’am: 55].
It is no wonder that their enmity toward Islam was severe, for Islam came demolishing all their falsehood, slander, and vanity, contradicting all their inclination, deviation, and misguidance:
- Islam calls to faith, monotheism, and sincerity; they call to disbelief, atheism, denial, and aversion.
- Islam calls to lofty ideals, noble values, mercy, goodness, and benevolence; they call to harshness, criminality, brutality, aggression, injustice, and slander.
- Islam calls to modesty, covering, decency, and chastity; they call to vice, corruption, plotting, and transgression.
- Islam protects rights, respects covenants, and forbids injustice; they recognize no right, keep no covenant or pledge, and never abandon injustice and aggression.
- Islam forbids taking a life unjustly, prohibits theft, and forbids adultery; they deem it permissible to shed the blood of non-Jews, steal their wealth, and violate their honor.
Despite all this misguidance in which they exist, they believe regarding themselves that they are “God’s chosen people,” His children, and His beloved, and that their souls are distinct from the rest of human souls in that they are a part of God. They believe that had the Jews not been created, blessing would have ceased from the earth, rain would not fall, and good things would not exist. Regarding everyone else, they believe they are akin to donkeys created in human form merely to be fit to serve them. May the faces of the utter losers be blackened, and may the curse of Allah be upon the criminals!
The Reality of the Struggle for Palestine and the Path Forward
We must all realize that the aggression of the Jews against Muslims in Palestine is not merely a dispute over land. We must recognize that the cause of Palestine is an Islamic cause whose matter should preoccupy the mind of every Muslim. Palestine is the land of the Prophets, home to the third of the Three Sacred Mosques, the destination of the Night Journey of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and the first qiblah of the Muslims. None has a right to it except Islam and its people; for the earth belongs to Allah, and He causes to inherit it whom He wills of His servants, and the final outcome is for the righteous.
We must also realize that the temporary triumph of this despicable sect and forsaken group, along with their domination over Muslims, is only due to sins, transgressions, and the turning away of many Muslims from their religion—which is the source of their honor, success, and elevation in this world and the Hereafter. Allah Almighty says:
“And whatever of misfortune befalls you, it is because of what your hands have earned. And He pardons much. (See the Quran Verse 35:45).” [Ash-Shura: 30]
Thus, there must be a sincere return and praiseworthy repentance to Allah—Exalted and Majestic is He—involving a correction of faith, a connection with the Most Merciful, a commitment to obedience and good deeds, and an avoidance of and caution against immorality and disobedience, so that the believers may attain honor, empowerment, victory, and support.
“Allah has promised those among you who believe, and do righteous good deeds, that He will certainly grant them succession to (the present rulers) in the earth, as He granted it to those before them, and that He will grant them the authority to practise their religion, that which He has chosen for them (i.e. Islam). And He will surely give them in exchange a safe security after their fear (provided) they (believers) worship Me and do not associate anything (in worship) with Me. But whoever disbelieved after this, they are the Fasiqun (rebellious, disobedient to Allah). And perform As-Salat (Iqamat-as-Salat), and give Zakat and obey the Messenger (Muhammad ﷺ) that you may receive mercy (from Allah).” [An-Nur: 55-56]
