This is a lie and a fabrication. No one enters into Salafism except the one who follows the Manhaj (methodology) of the Salaf (the pious predecessors). Whoever follows the methodology of the Salaf, they are Salafis. However, if they oppose the methodology of the Salaf, they are not Salafis. The Messenger ﷺ said regarding the saved sect: “Those who are upon what I and my Companions are upon today.”
The Messenger ﷺ did not leave us without a clear explanation; rather, he clarified who the Salafi is and who is not a Salafi.
