Answer:

It is a munkar (reprehensible evil) and is not permissible. It is absolutely not permissible to travel for tourism. Traveling to the lands of shirk is only permissible if it is for the purpose of calling people to Allah, [undertaken] by people of knowledge, faith, and insight who have a firm standing in this matter, possess insight, and do not fear fitnah (tribulation/temptation) for themselves.

This is because they possess knowledge, faith, insight, and the readiness to refute doubts, enabling them to defend themselves and benefit others in their call to Allah, the Glorified and Exalted. Yes.
