We would like to know what the difference is between the Ikhwan (Muslim Brotherhood) and the Salafi group?
Answer:
By Allah, my brother, I believe it is the duty of everyone to be brothers for the sake of Allah and to follow the path of the Salaf. As Allah the Exalted said, bestowing His favor upon the Muslims and reminding them: “…and remember Allah’s Favour on you, for you were enemies one to another but He joined your hearts together, so that, by His Grace, you became brethren (in Islâmic Faith)..” [Aal Imran: 103].
If they are brotherly toward one another upon the path of the Salaf, then this is the path of the believers. However, if there are principles and ideas that contradict what the Pious Predecessors (As-Salaf as-Salih) were upon, then those ideas must be corrected or changed.
