Prince Nayef bin Abdul-Aziz al-Saud—may Allah Almighty have mercy on him—said:

We affirm to you that this state (Saudi state) will remain—by Allah’s permission—following the upright Salafi methodology, and it will neither deviate from it nor compromise on it. For it is the source of its glory, success, and elevation, as well as the source of its advancement and progress, because it combines authenticity with contemporaneity. It is a legal religious methodology, as well as a worldly methodology that calls for embracing the means of progress and advancement, calling for peaceful coexistence with others, and respecting their rights.

قال الأمير نايف بن عبدالعزيز رحمه الله تعالى: إننا نؤكد لكم على أن هذه الدولة ستظل -بإذن الله- متبعة للمنهج السلفي القويم.. ولن تحيد عنه ولن تتنازل.. فهو مصدر عزها وتوفيقها ورفعتها.. كما أنه مصدر لرقيها وتقدمها.. لكونه يجمع بين الأصالة والمعاصرة.. فهو منهج ديني شرعي.. كما أنه منهج دنيوي.. يدعو إلى الأخذ بأسباب الرقي والتقدم.. والدعوة إلى التعايش السلمي مع الآخرين.. واحترام حقوقهم.
