Shaykh Abdul Salam ibn Abdullah ibn Muhammad Al-Sulaiman

He is Abdul Salam bin Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Sulaiman, from the Nawasir clan of the Banu Tamim tribe. On his mother’s side, his lineage traces back to the Al-Hussain family of the Nawasir from Banu Tamim. He was born in the city of Riyadh.

Dr. Sheikh Abdul Salam is considered one of the most prominent students of His Eminence, the Grand Scholar Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Baz (may Allah have mercy on him). He began studying under him in 1407 AH, keeping his company and attending his lessons until his passing. He compiled the “Al-Baziyyah Collection” consisting of eight volumes on diverse lessons, carefully gathered a large collection of private audio recordings of His Eminence’s lessons, and supervised their release.

He is also regarded as one of the foremost students of Sheikh Saleh bin Fawzan Al-Fawzan, having accompanied him from 1408 AH to the present day, taking meticulous care of many of the Sheikh’s books and scholarly works, which total 83 volumes.

Additionally, he studied under a group of esteemed scholars, including the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh; Sheikh Abdullah bin Jibreen; Sheikh Abdulrahman Al-Barrak; Sheikh Abdulaziz Al-Rajhi; Sheikh Saleh Al-Sadlan; and other scholars.


Ph.D. in Comparative Jurisprudence

Higher Judicial Institute, Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University

He advanced in his academic pursuits until he earned his Ph.D. in Comparative Jurisprudence from the Higher Judicial Institute at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, graduating with First-Class Honors and a recommendation for publication. His dissertation was titled: “The Jurisprudential Choices of Sheikh Mohammed bin Ibrahim and His Contemporary Views”. The dissertation was supervised by His Excellency the Chairman of the Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh.


Practical Experience and Professional Career

  • Faculty Member: Taught at the College of Sharia at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, and subsequently at the Higher Judicial Institute.
  • Member of the Council of Senior Scholars & Permanent Committee for Ifta: Appointed in 1440 AH as a member of the Council of Senior Scholars and a member of the Permanent Committee for Fatwa in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Dean of the Higher Judicial Institute: Appointed Dean of the Higher Judicial Institute at Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, in addition to his memberships in the Council of Senior Scholars and the Permanent Committee for Fatwa.
  • Founder and Supervisor: Founder of the Al-Da’wah Charitable Foundation and General Supervisor of the “Ataa System”.
  • Educational Committees: Member of the Supreme Committee for Reviewing School Textbooks in General and Higher Education, and Head of the Committee for Reviewing, Improving, and Developing Islamic Studies Textbooks for General Education at the Ministry of Education.
  • Supervision: Supervised and examined a large number of Master’s theses at the Higher Judicial Institute, alongside various other contributions to Dawah and charitable work.
