The Ruling on Cursing Israel


The Jews; their known name is Yahud (Yehudi; Judah followers 1). However, they have begun to say: ‘Israel’, and Israel is Ya’qub (Jacob 2). Ya’qub ibn Ishaq 3. This is from their deception.

The problem is that some people supplicate for Allah to curse Israel. Meaning: they are cursing [the Noble Prophet] Ya’qub (peace be upon him)?

The person should beware of this saying: “May Allah’s curse be upon Israel,” NO !! Say: “May Allah’s curse be upon the Jews,” or “May Allah curse the Jews,”. Do not say: “[May Allah’s curse be upon] Israel.”
